As the event nears its climax, the anticipation for the emerging designers' showcase builds, the winner will be going to Mexico Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week to present the collection.

Before we delve into the excitement of unveiling this year's victor, let's take a closer look at the emerging talents who have made their mark on the penultimate day of MBFWMADRID.

COCONUTSCANKILL

Amara Caruncho Ledo, a name synonymous with innovation and sustainability in the fashion industry, emerged from the historic lanes of Santiago de Compostela in 1996. By founding COCONUTSCANKILL in 2018, Amara didn't just create a brand; she sparked a revolution. Her brand stands as a beacon of creativity, where fashion is not just worn but experienced, and where the boundaries of art and environmental stewardship blur.

The new collection "Sommet" stands as a bold declaration of COCONUTSCANKILL's commitment to sustainability, showcasing a range of garments that challenge conventional fashion norms. The collection is marked by a deliberate use of color, texture, and form to create a visual narrative that speaks to the harmony and conflict found in nature. From structured to fluid pieces, each garment is a piece of wearable art that reflects a balance of power and grace, embodying the essence of what it means to be human in harmony with nature.

DIMONI

In 2022, Joan Ribas set the foundation for what would soon emerge as a beacon of

innovation within the Spanish fashion landscape—Dimoni. Fast forward to February 2024, and the brand has unveiled its inaugural collection, "T T," a fascinating amalgamation of gym culture ruggedness with the grace of ultra-feminine draping. This pioneering collection signifies not just the birth of a new aesthetic but a bold reimagining of how fashion intersects with everyday athleticism.

At its core, "T T" reflects the multifaceted nature of dressing for the gym—layers upon layers of technical fabrics, lycra mixed with the softness of fleece, cotton, and denim. This collection not only challenges conventional fashion norms but also celebrates the fluidity of our daily lives, seamlessly transitioning from the vigor of a workout to the elegance of everyday living.

JUAN VG

JUAN VG emerges as a pioneering force, championing genderless designs

and the art of upcycling. By creatively repurposing second-hand garments, focusing on materials like denim and knitwear, and infusing a mix of disciplines such as patchwork and painting, JUAN VG stands out for its innovative approach. The brand's aesthetic is a captivating blend of grunge vibes and the classic essence of Valladolid, marrying these influences to forge a unique style.

The upcoming collection, GAMBERRXS, serves as a bold canvas where JUAN VG's vision comes to life, offering a reinterpretation of what school attire could embody. Drawing inspiration from Valladolid, a city steeped in tradition, and the constrained expression experienced in a conservative school environment, GAMBERRXS is a testament to the desire for self-expression amidst societal norms and expectations. It's a collection that speaks to the soul of those who have felt misunderstood by peers and educators alike, channeling that frustration into creativity.

GAMBERRXS is not just a fashion line; it's a movement.

ORIOL CLAVELL

London's own Oriol Clavell, celebrated for winning the Real Leather Apparel UK and being a finalist for the Yinger Prize International, draws inspiration from queer palaces for his debut collection, marrying historical elegance with the flair of contemporary queer nightlife.

A hallmark of Clavell's brand is the fusion of craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology, a theme that recurs in his upcoming collection. By integrating 3D printing with creative pattern-making and traditional craftsmanship, the collection stands as a testament to Clavell's innovative approach to fashion design. This blend of old and new, of historical reverence and modern queer culture, positions Oriol Clavell's debut as a groundbreaking moment in fashion.

Oriol Clavell's work is more than just clothing; it's a narrative of resistance, a reimagining of history, and a celebration of queer identity.

EVADE HOUSE

Evangelina Julia, a Spanish-born fashion designer and visual artist, has carved a niche in the fashion world with her brand, Evade House, established in 2020 following her graduation from the London College of Fashion. Her inaugural collection, 'Travelling Blind,' set the tone for a brand that transcends conventional fashion boundaries, merging fashion with performance, video, and music to create a holistic artistic narrative. Evangelina's innovative approach has not only earned her the prestigious Allianz Ego Confidence in Fashion award in 2022 but also recognition at the Batsford and BIAFF Bilbao awards, cementing her status as a rising star in the international fashion scene.

For collection 006, Evade House aims to delve deeper into the ethos of garment redefinition and material significance. This collection is an exploration of revisiting and recontextualizing the brand's own creations, imbuing them with new meanings, uses, and methods of dressing, all while adhering to a philosophy of zero waste. Evangelina Julia's vision for Evade House is not just about creating clothes; it's about fostering a sustainable, sensory-rich dialogue between the wearer and the worn, where fashion serves not only as an aesthetic choice but as a medium for profound, tactile experiences.

ANYSTUDIO

Founded by Lorenzo Binard and Elisabet Vallecillo in 2020, ANYSTUDIO emerges as a creative force that celebrates the individuality and interconnectedness of its wearers through a compelling mix of urban styles and traditional craftsmanship.

The collection is a testament to ANYSTUDIO's innovative spirit, weaving together a diverse palette of materials such as cotton, silk bamboo, recycled wool, Tencel, and denim—a symbol of generational empowerment. It skillfully merges urban styles with the refinement of silk and the structure of tailored garments. Unique to ANYSTUDIO, some pieces split into two, serving both men and women, symbolizing unity and complementarity. The inclusion of analog photography prints from the founders' journeys and inspirations imbues the garments with a narrative depth, transforming them into tangible mementos of the world as seen through their eyes.

ADRIÀ EGEA

In the coastal city of Badalona, born in October 1997, Adrià Egea embarked on a

journey that would see him blend the rich tapestry of his grandmother Micaela's

influence with his own burgeoning design sensibilities. From the afternoons spent in

his grandmother's company, watching as she breathed new life into garments with

her skilled hands, Adrià's passion for fashion was kindled. This early exposure to the

transformative power of clothing remains a subconscious undercurrent in all his

designs, paying homage to the legacy of craftsmanship and creativity passed down

to him.

"Error Series 3.0" delves into the present state of human emotion, capturing the

essence of the doubts and darkness that pervade our lives. Adrià invites us into a

world overshadowed by uncertainty, a reflection of our collective struggle against the

relentless pace of modern life. This collection is an introspective journey through the

hustle of city streets, the relentless chase against time, and the overwhelming force

of capitalism that ensnares us all.

VISORI STUDIO

With over two decades of fashion industry experience, Javier Soria's VISORI introduces VOLTIO, a collection that draws inspiration from the punk movement and pays homage to Vivienne Westwood, encapsulating the rebellious spirit and aesthetic innovation of punk culture.

VOLTIO, VISORI's latest collection, draws inspiration from the symbolic essence of the volt—a measure of electric potential and force. The brand cleverly aligns the initial "V" of Visori with this concept, channeling the electric tension and dynamism into the realm of fashion. This creative direction led VISORI to the punk era, a period of significant cultural and visual movement that has profoundly influenced the brand's philosophy.

Punk's aesthetic principles, such as garment deconstruction and distressed finishes,

resonate deeply with VISORI's design ethos. Originating in London and closely associated with iconic designer Vivienne Westwood, punk has served as a pivotal inspiration for the brand. VISORI's collection pays homage to Westwood's unparalleled style and contribution to fashion, embodying the electrifying spirit of punk as a tribute to this legendary designer.

PETER SPOSITO STUDIO

lminating this year's MBFWMADRID, PETER SPOSITO STUDIO emerges as the deserving winner. Peter Sposito's unique approach to fashion as an artistic expression, emphasizing individuality through the blend of styles and garment deconstruction, sets a new precedent. "The RTW couture" collection serves as a powerful narrative on life's stages, championing the importance of personal reflection and self-recognition through fashion.

"The RTW couture" collection delves into the very essence of life—birth, growth,

adaptation, and death—mirrored by the changing seasons. Approaching these

themes without excessive dramatization, it encapsulates the journey of transitioning

to adulthood and the ongoing process of learning about life.

The collection advocates for savoring every moment, cherishing the small details,

affection, freedom, and striving to be the best version of oneself every day. It draws

inspiration from Sposito's childhood experiences in a small town, where traditional

garments symbolizing the region and memories ranging from the mundane to the

absurd play a crucial role.

This act of colliding with reality is depicted through the metaphor of opening doors

to the past to refocus and reinterpret experiences. The collection is not merely an

aesthetic representation of life but a personal rebirth, reminding us that fashion can

be a powerful medium for reflection and self-recognition. Each piece tells a unique

story, merging past and present in a creative act that transcends seasons and life

stages.

This edition of MBFWMADRID has once again underscored the vibrant and ever-evolving nature of the fashion industry, spotlighting the innovative contributions of these emerging designers poised to shape the future of fashion.
